Looking for a Bassist, Hollar Back:)
Wednesday, August 6th, 2008 by: Team TSC

Hey party people,

We're currently on the lookout for a bassist and want to explore as many options as possible.

We have things worked out to continue playing live so we won't have to cancel any shows or rush any decisions, but we're still in need of finding a full time guy or girl for the spot. If you are interested please get in touch and we will get some info from you and touch base from there about a possible get together.

We call Dayton, OH home and practice in town quite a bit when home. Good gear is a must. Backing vocal ability is a big plus. We travel a lot and need someone who can pick up and go. We have a new album out on Future Destination Records along with two other discs of material. We have a lot of fun doing this, but there's also a lot of work involved and a ton of scheduling. We need someone reliable who is amped on the band and ready/able to hit the road. An active list of shows and past touring schedule is listed under the tour link at www.theStoryChanges.com to get an idea of a workload.

Summary:
- Good gear is a must
- Backing vocal ability is a big plus
- Ready and able to hit the road
- A positive and hardworking attitude is mandatory
- Dayton, Ohio area or able to commute regularly

Email band@theStoryChanges.com or message us at www.myspace.com/theStoryChanges with all inquiries.

Yell It From the Rooftops Baby! We Love You.
Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008 by: Team TSC

We would like to send a very big bear hug of a thanks to everyone that caught us during the last 3+ weeks worth of dates out West and the Central U.S. It was an amazing tour. We hit a fair amount of new places along with some that we had not been to in quite some time. In a time where skyrocketing gas prices and overall dwindling music sales are making it tougher and tougher for anyone to tour, we feel very fortunate to be able to do what we do and have your continued support. Seriously, it means the world to us.

Do us a favor and tell a friend or two about our music. If you think they would be into it, send them a link to our myspace to check out some songs. Even just adding one of our songs to your page for a couple of days is a HUGE help to us. Your word of mouth goes a long way and we can't thank you enough!

We have a lot dates left this Summer! Take a peek and see if we'll be in your area. We'll have some new updates up soon, including a new song to peep in the next couple of weeks and a couple of other cool announcements.

Keep it classy!

STREET TEAM
Thursday, February 28th, 2008 by: Team TSC

We're getting things organized for the TSC Street team and are looking for for some dedicated people who are amped on getting the word out about the band.  Some of you have already gotten in touch on the band's site and it's YOU that have inspired us to get the street team up and running.  This is 100% ran by the band and we are looking forward to working directly with team members.

Things as simple as spreading the word about the band online through buletins, banners, etc are a HUGE help to us.  We also can use help with handing out physical promo items like show flyers, posters, and mp3 samplers for those able to put time into that.   Most importantly, YOU KNOW YOUR SCENE BETTER THAN ANYONE, so we would love your input on ways to get the word out in your area, where we should be playing in your town, and what bands from your hometown that you think we should be playing with.

Send an invite to www.Myspace.com/theStoryChangesStreetTeam if you are interested in helping and we will be in touch! If myspace isn't your thing, send us an email to TscStreet@Gmail.com.

Also, for a list of Codes, banners, and TSC online promo, check out: www.theStoryChanges.com/Promo

Thanks so much!

DAYTON PRESS
Friday, January 25th, 2008 by: Team TSC

We've gotten a bit of love from the hometown Dayton press in the last month.  Here's a quick rundown.

The Dayton Daily News listed our new album as a top local release for 2007:

The Story Changes
The Way of the Dinosaur
Future Destination Records

This Powerful album is much heavier and less overtly pop-punk than previous releases from this Dayton-based trio.  Despite the sonic differences, memorable cuts like "Don't Fall" and "Needle" retain the group's trademark sing-along choruses and penchant for relatable lyrics.
If you like: Jawbox
iPod pick: "Don't Fall"

The DDN online music writeup include us in a listing of 2008 new years resolutions:

The Story Changes (pop-punk-rock) - "To see our amazing friends that we have made all over from this band as many times and as much as we can this year."

..And finally, a great new Dayton music site, the Buddha Den did a show review or our annual HoliDayton show we did at the end of last month:

"...as the night finally started to wind down, the hosts of the evening, The Story Changes hit the ground running with their power/punk anthems and energetic stage show. As one of the hardest working bands in Dayton right now, it was a treat to see them at home with all their friends in tow...."

HOLIDAYTON 2007
Wednesday, December 19th, 2007 by: Team TSC

Our 5th annual HoliDayton hometown show is this Saturday at the Nite Owl in Dayton, Ohio. The lineup looks to be amazing.   Kyle Melton wrote a nice piece about the event in the current issue of the Dayton City Paper.   You can also read it online at: Dayton City Paper article on HoliDayton.

For More info on the show and artists performing, check out the HoliDayton page.

DECOY MUSIC REVIEW
Tuesday, November 13th, 2007 by: Team TSC

Here's a bit of Decoy Music's review of The Way of the Dinosaur:

"Thank goodness there is occasionally a band that is not afraid to break away from the trends and just plays good music. Think about it, what does the music scene need more of right now -- more copycat bands that either whine way too much and lamely toss screams around while they're whining... or more bands that remember when Saves the Day and The Get Up Kids were trend setters? If you didn’t say the former, stop reading and go listen to your Fall Out Boy mp3s for the bazillionth time. ...we need more albums like this that break slightly outside of the mold of what is currently popular in the scene, simply to provide some diversity for those people who actually do want something different." - DecoyMusic.com
